Turkey and Azerbaijan are continuing their negotiations over the price of Azeri gas delivered to Turkey. President of the Azeri state oil company Rovnag Abdulayev has stated that on November 24 a regular round of negotiations took place, and though no agreement was achieved they are continuing.
At present Azerbaijan supplies natural gas to Turkey at USD 120 for 1,000 cubic metres, with end consumers in Turkey paying around USD 380 for 1,000 cubic metres. The negotiations concern natural gas exported from the Shah Deniz field. They have been underway for some time, but with no consensus achieved. It can be observed that since Turkey changed its policy towards Armenia relations with Azerbaijan have become strained.
