Where is the Economic Freedom Act?

Since Autumn 2009 the Economic Freedom Act has been much touted as something which will bring a broad range of benefits. Some analysts were quite sceptical about this initiative from the beginning but it continued to be widely promoted by the administration in particular.
The concern analysts had is that this act distanced Georgia from Europe as a more authoritarian regime would be necessary to implement it. But whatever the opinions on it the authorities have suddenly stopped talking about this Act.
The country’s economy is confused – will it become like those of democratic Europe or that of an autocratic nowhere? Someone needs to set a direction, but those responsible are not doing so.
