On March 4 the Georgian Parliament's group of Friends of the Parliaments of the North Caucasus Republics sent a special letter to those Parliaments. However as member of the group MP Nugzar Tsikhaluri says the people of the North Caucasus are the main targets of the letter. It states that it is a strategic decision of the Georgian State to develop links with the North Caucasus as Georgia is well aware that its security very much depends on how efficiently its policy towards its northern neighbours is conducted and implemented.
Georgian politicians realise that Russia has created many problems in the region and is unable to control many trends there. It is highlighted that Georgia wants to live alongside a stable, peaceful and prosperous Northern Caucasus.
