NABUCCO project issues

The management of Austrian company OMW, which is involved in the NABUCCO project, has stated that the Azeri side has expressed its readiness to start pumping gas into the NABUCCO pipeline from its gas fields. It was also announced that there are intensive negotiations underway between NABUCCO partner countries and representatives of Turkmenistan and Iraq.
As for Iran, it will be possible to discuss its involvement in the project later. Currently there are no negotiations going on between NABUCCO and Iran. As is known NABUCCO is due to start being constructed in 2011 and in 2014 the first gas will flow through its pipes.
