Azeri tax balance surplus is over USD 10 billion

The Azeri Central Bank has published official figures showing that the Azeri taxation balance surplus in 2009 was over USD 10 billion. In 2008 this figure was over USD 16 billion. As in previous years the major increment of these figures was accruals from the oil producing sector, the non oil-producing sector producing losses.

In 2009 Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover was USD 27.6 billion. Exports made over USD 21 million. Azerbaijan has trade relations with 140 countries, 10% of its trade being with CIS countries. The biggest trading partners of Azerbaijan are Italy, USA, France, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Canada and Great Britain.
