Hot debates were caused in the Armenian parliament over the issue of amendments to regulations concerning TV and radio broadcasting in the country. New amendments envisage further control of the TV and radio broadcasting by the state. All opposition parties criticized the new initiative as well as members of the coalition party Flourishing Armenia. The criticism is based on the fact that the government is trying to introduce the amendments in a hasty manner without preliminary discussions of the issue by the Armenian population.
