In the first four months of 2010 Georgia's foreign trade turnover was USD 1.87 billion, 17% higher than in the same period of last year. Exports were USD 466 million, therefore the negative trade balance has decreased by 4% since last year.

Georgia's biggest trading partner is still Turkey, with whom trade turnover was almost USD 300 million. Georgia exports to Turkey scrap metal, ferroalloys and fertiliser.

In terms of all exports ferroalloys are the common export commodity, then fertilizer, then scrap metal. Georgia mostly imports oil and oil products, then automobiles and medicine.
