The Kars and Igdir local administrations in Turkey are preparing documents identifying how much time it will take to carry out preparatory work for opening the Turkish-Armenian border. The Kars Governor has stated that the Turkish side will need about a month to open the border if required. Turkey is preparing to reinstitute both automobile and railway connections if it approves the reopening.
