Azerbaijan trade turnover increasing

In the first half of 2010 Azeri trade turnover increased 54% compared with same period of last year. This is related to price increases in its major export products, oil and gas. 92% of Azerbaijan’s exports are oil and oil products.

In the first half of this year Azeri exports were worth more than USD 10 billion, whereas imports were less than USD 3 billion. Azerbaijan's major trade partners were Italy, France and the USA, whereas its major import sources are Russia, Turkey, China, Ukraine and Germany.
