Economic analyst, Demur Giorkhelidze has pointed out the somewhat odd situation in the Georgian economy, when on the one hand Georgia is achieving high results in the economic ratings of conducting business, registering business, introducing reforms, etc., while on the other hand, investment flow into the country has dramatically decreased. Giorkhelidze thinks that to attract investors, there should be sufficient information about the situation in Georgia. It also needs to be regularly updated and cover issues such as employment, the state of particular economic segments, banking and financing and so on. Currently such information is not arranged at an appropriate level.
