Criminal situation and ethnic minorities in Russia

According to statistical data of the Russian federal emigration service, Tajiks, Uzbeks and Armenians are responsible for a large percentage of crimes committed by foreigners in Russia. Foreigners commit 3.5% of criminal activities in Russia. Most of the criminal acts committed by foreigners are conducted by labour migrants. According to this official information there are around 7 million foreign citizens in Russia, of which 3 million are living there illegally.
