Turkmenistan conditions for NABUCCO

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan has named certain conditions for providing NABUCCO with Turkmen natural gas. Turkmenistan will supply its natural gas only if there is no politics and the price is acceptable. Meanwhile the country is actively increasing its natural gas export infrastructure with the construction of the East-West Gas Pipeline which will cost approximately USD 2 billion. So far Turkmenistan has gas pipelines connecting it with Iran, China and Russia. The country also plans to increase its natural gas production up to 230 billion cubic metres annually, exporting 180 billion of it.
