Free economic zones to improve Armenia’s investment environment

It is possible that Armenia will create a free economic zone in its territory which will stipulate the development of Russian-Armenian economic cooperation and further improve the investment environment in the country. Armenia’s minister of economy Nerses Eritsian announced the news on December 6 at the Russian-Armenian business forum. Today there are1200 joint Russian-Armenian ventures ongoing in Armenia involved in energy, mining and the chemical industry as well as the communications sector.
