Georgian government is optimistic towards the GDP growth rate. According to PM Gilauri, in 2010 the GDP grew by 6.5%.which Gilauri did not expect and by the end of 2010 the GDP growth will be fixed at 6%. The government believes that this tendency gives ground for further optimism, supposing that the tendency will continue in 2011 as well. According to the recently adopted 2011 state budget, the GDP is also projected to be at a 6% increase. Economic growth is dependent on the inflow of investments which unfortunately have been decreasing recently.
