The economic analyst and former Minister, Davit Onoprishvili from Free Democrats, criticized Georgia’s economic performance based on international research results, which according to him showed that the country has serious shortcomings in the direction of the economy and there is not much to boast about. Onoprishvili challenged the state figures, in particular the 10.5 percent inflation, which according to him could be in reality 13-14 percent. He also challenged the official GDP figure of 6.5 percent, stating that it could be 2-3 percent only. He also mentioned that inflation figures even in the official database are higher than Armenia, with 8 percent and Azerbaijan at 7 percent.
