Armenia’s governing system centralized

According to polling carried out in October 2010 in Armenia by the Sociometr research centre, 60% of those questioned state that they are actively interested in political issues. 50% of those asked think that the social economic situation in the country is determined by the president’s policy, 25% think it is determined by PM’s policy. Overall, the opinion is that the governing system in Armenia is centralized and officials have all the levers in their hands. Neither the opposition nor the business environment seriously influences in the country, concludes the head of the research centre Agaron Adibekian.
