About Azeri natural gas export to Europe

Italian energy company Edison thinks that ITGI (Italy, Turkey, Greece) and the NABUCCO project could provide sufficient amounts of natural gas to satisfy European needs. Edison executive director Roberto Potti considers the ITGI project to be more realistic.

Different projects including those named above are competing to receive Azeri gas from Shahdeniz. It is not yet known which of those projects will be selected as a priority for Azerbaijan.
