Some time ago there was an intergovernmental session held in Iran with Azerbaijan. The issues of economic trade and humanitarian cooperation were discussed. It was decided that both countries should facilitate the establishment of new border checkpoints and construction of a railway track connecting the two countries. This project was signed more than 5 years ago and the two countries' officials give much importance to the forthcoming visit of Iran's President to Azerbaijan. Iran is cooperating with Armenia actively and it will be very interesting to see how relations will develop between Iran and Azerbaijan.
