Deputy Director of the Institute for Nuclear Energy Security Problems of Armenia Rafael Arutunian thinks that the existing nuclear power station has shown its capability to resist serious earthquakes since 1988. Any kind of speculation concerning the threat of the nuclear power station is political speculations, thinks the deputy director. The Japanese tragedy warns us to consider extra security measures but terminating the Armenian nuclear power station will create more problems for the country.
