The tariff for natural gas in Armenia is lower than the price for gas in European countries. Economic analyst Ashot Tavadian thinks that, in this regard, Armenia is a leading country. According to him Romania is producing natural gas itself but still the consumer pays Euro 282 for 1 000 cubic meters gas, whereas in Armenia consumers pay Euro 267. As it is known most of Armenia's gas is supplied by Russian Gasprom via pipeline running through Georgia.
