On May 11, 2011 it was decided that Inter Rao, a Russian state controlled company, will be given the right to purchase 100 % of shares of Razdan electro power station in Armenia. Inter Rao is the biggest player in operating electricity lines and export-import in the post soviet space. Inter Rao controls Tbilisi's distribution network Telasi as well as two energy blocks of Tbilisi power station and Khrami hydro electric power station. Armenia’s nuclear power station, Razdan power station, Sevan electric power station Cascade and Armenian electro network are all also under its control. It owns power stations in Moldova, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan as well as 1% of TGR energy in Turkey. In fact Inrer Rao owns more than 20 companies in 15 countries, the majority of which are in post-soviet space.
