Some media outlets in Turkey have released information that 80% of consumer goods as well as much of food products in Armenia are produced in Turkey. Therefore the conclusion is that Turkey’s embargo in Armenia does not really work. The import of Turkish product to Armenia is mainly achieved via Georgia. Moreover, more than 70 000 Armenian citizens illegally work in Turkey. There are airlines conducting flights three times a week between the countries, so the embargo is just symbolic.
