On July 22, 2011 a meeting was held between Turkish and Armenian businessmen where it was declared that the closure of borders between the two countries should not be an obstacle for trade and economic relations. It was assumed that thorough the lobbying of businessmen and business structures of both countries the political forces might decide to open the borders. It was mentioned during the meeting that some spheres of business have good prospects. These are tourism, industry, transport, IT, agriculture and construction. The creation of joint ventures was suggested as the best model for the time being.
