Turkey is ready to take the role of regional leader

In his interview to Japanese newspaper 'Nikei', Turkish President Abdula Guli stated that his country is ready to take a leading political role in the region. According to the Turkish president his country is an example and a model for democratization to Middle East and Arab countries. According to the president Turkey is part of Europe, but it is also a Muslim country with real democracy and successful economy based on the rule of law and order. The recent steps taken by Turkey with its neighbour Syria prove that Turkey is determined to play the leading role in the region.
