Armenian-Turkish relations in deadlock

Turkish sources report that on August 22, the Turkish Parliament removed from its agenda the ratification of the documents signed on October 10, 2009 in Zurich envisaging the establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia. According to the Turkish side these protocols have lost their judicial force. Earlier this year on April 22 Armenia’s President Serzh Sarkysian signed the document on suspension of the protocol signed by Armenia and Turkey.
