According to polls on Russian geopolitical competitors, opponents and enemies, conducted by the Russian organization RBK the biggest threats perceived by Russians comes from the USA 26%, China 13%, Georgia 5% and Japan 3%. RBK analysts suggest the main complication arose between Georgia and Russia began in 2008. The disintegration of Georgian territories, the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent nations, visa problems for Georgians, spy and terrorist allegations, the embargo on Georgian wines and mineral waters and other issues are named as main problems between the two countries. Analysts point out that Georgia is the only country with which Russia has had a military conflict and that many experts in Russia believe the Kremlin should look for enemies, not in neighboring countries but within its own borders.
