On October 2008, after Russia’s military attack on Georgia, international donors made the decision in Brussels to allot to Georgia USD 4.5 bln. Georgia has already received USD 3.5 bln of this, so the country expects to receive the remaining 1 bln before the end of 2011. During the Brussels conference it was decided that the country would receive the promised 4.5 bln in three lots. The first was before March 2009, the second before March 2010, and the term of the third round of donations expires on September 2011. The official negotiations and preparation of appropriate documents are underway concerning the completion of the deal.
