Bendukidze Sees Bleak EU Prospects

Former minister of the economy Kakha Bednukidze in his interview to Novaya Gazeta, a Russian newspaper, stated the reforms which will be carried out in Georgia. Among other recommendations Bendukidze suggested transferring Georgian forests into private possession, abolishing the national bank of the country and other ideas. He also criticized the EU and believes that it is a body without a long life. He considers the EU a huge bureaucratic machine which suppresses economic freedom while trying to attempt to preserve civil freedom.
