Tsereteli Meets UNECE Representatives

The Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament, Gigi Tsereteli, met with the representative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Francesca Bernardini. The parties spoke about the meeting, scheduled for October 19, at which the Memorandum of Mutual Understanding in the Sphere of Water Resource Management between Georgia and UNECE will be signed.

The Memorandum implies the holding of national political dialogues on water resource management in Georgia, the main objective of which is to facilitate the approach of the millennium development goals as regards water issues.

Representatives of more than 20 states will participate in the meeting. They will share their own experiences regarding water diseases, water supply and sanitation, and safe water issues. The meeting will be chaired by Tsereteli.
