More than 25 million tourists visited Turkey in the first nine months of 2011

In January-September 2011Turkey was visited by 25 million tourists which is 10% more than the same period of the last year. The biggest number of tourists--3.7 million--came from Germany, then Russia with 3.17 million and Britain with 2.2 million. Tourists’ main destinations were the Antalya region and Istanbul. The Turkish ministry of culture and tourism suggests that by the end of this year the total number of tourists visiting Turkey would reach 30 million.
