Are you expecting snap elections in Georgia?

Wednesday, November 9
"Have no idea; the authorities might have planned such a scenario as well. At least, at this stage snap elections cannot be excluded. "
Gvantsa, student 23

"They will hold the elections at any appropriate time. Maybe spring 2012 will be more convenient for Kublashvili(MP). If the elections are held in autumn as planned, the government will have to prepare all the necessary procedures for biometric elections.
Giorgi, Economist, 38

Well, it is difficult to say now, to my mind. it depends on how the political process would develop. As far as I know, if snap elections are held , they should be held in Spring .Between now and spring a lot of things might happen. If authorities decide that snap elections are important for their victory, they will hold them, as they make such decisions as they want. However, I do not think that either in snap or usual elections they could win.”
Tamta, Language Specialist, 24

“I think that snap elections are possible. Our authorities are frightened due to the new faces in Georgian politics and guess that they might lose in autumn, as between now and then, Ivanishvili’s rating might grow.”
Nana , Student , 20

“I don’t think there is a need for snap elections in the country because the ruling party still needs to prove their popularity over the other potential candidates e.g. businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili, who has made significant steps just after his entrance to the “political arena.”
Lali, Journalist, 22

“If the government won’t call for snap elections in spring their chances to win the parliamentary elections will decrease to zero.”
