2011 successful for Georgian wine industry

As representatives of the wine industry state, 2011 was quite successful. Sales of wine increased by around 30%. There are some positive steps in the area of exporting Georgian wines. As newly appointed agriculture Minister Zaza Gorozia stated, increasing wine export will become a priority of the ministry. Different events are planned to be held abroad. The embargo from Russia which began in 2006 damaged Georgian wine exports considerably as the country slowly recovering from this blow and it targets to reach 2006 exporting quantity in the near future.
