PM Gilauri claims that the number of unemployed in Georgia has decreased from 16.3% to 15.5%. That means that Georgia has introduced at least four thousand extra working places in 2011. Analysts of economic issues challenge such opinions, saying that rather on the contrary there are multiple facts showing unemployment of over 35%. Official statistics are not trusted by the head of the Trade Union Irakli Petriashvili who thinks that unemployment in Georgia is around 27%, whereas 25% of those employed hardly earn enough for minimum standards of living.
