Wednesday, January 18
Georgian composer and pianist Zaza Marjanishvili shared his unforgettable compositions with the audience at the State Concert Hall on January 15, after having returned from his 17-year American journey in the world of jazz and Latin American music. With his former band members from New Orleans accompanied by Georgian singers and the young Symphonic Orchestra, Marjanishvili gave A Gift to Tbilisi which satisfied even the youngest audience members with his romantic rhythms. The crowded State Concert Hall asked the musician to return to the stage and perform encore after encore. The Messenger congratulates Marjanishvili on his first concert after such a long absence from the Georgian musical scene, and wishes him further success in his professional career.
