Azeri economy issues

According to the statement of Azeri Economic Minister Shakhir Mustafaev, in 2011 USD 20 bln was invested in the country’s economy. Out of this amount USD 13 bln was domestic investments whereas USD 7 bln was FDI. Mustafaev said that USD 15.7 bln of this amount would be directed to non-oil sectors of the economy. In 2011 big investments were directed to the transport sector, tourism, irrigation, energy sphere, ecology, information and communication technologies and so on.
