Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary, Andrey Kluev, stated that his country may join Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan in a 3+1-style customs union.
This statement was made during a visit by Ukraine officials to Brussels. Kluev highlighted that the decision to join such a union will not contradict the country’s overall relations with the EU. He also highlighted that economic integration is a Ukrainian policy priority with Europe.
