The government of Turkey intends to ask Iran to decrease the price of the natural gas imported from the latter country into the former.

Turkey believes that the price charged by Iran is higher than the average global market price, and hopes to negotiate a regulation deal with Iran similar to the one it has with Azerbaijan. Turkey currently imports natural gas from Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran.
