General Secretary of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Lamberto Zannier, expressed his concern about the situation in central Asian countries after NATO forces withdraw from Afghanistan.
Speaking on Tuesday in Dushanbe, Zannier highlighted that the international community is interested in a peaceful, stable Afghanistan and he expressed the commitment of the international community to assist the country in achieving this goal.
In 2014, NATO will withdraw its forces from Afghanistan, and Zannier believes that by that time Afghanistan and its immediate neighbours should be prepared to combat the threats of terrorism, fundamentalism, and extremism.
