Georgia leading Caucasus in prison population

The ninth edition of the World Prison Population List, prepared by Kings College London, has released the results of a survey on the number of inmates per capita around the world.
Georgia ranks 12th in highest per capita prison population in Europe, followed by Azerbaijan in 14th place, and Armenia in 31st. The number of inmates in Georgia is approximately 23 995, whereas Azerbaijan has 20 470, and Armenia has just 4 807.
