Ground-breaking ceremony for Baku-Tbilisi-Kars held

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Akhalkalaki railway station, which will become part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars rail line.

Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure, Ramaz Nikoaishvili, attended the ceremony and told the assembled crowd that when the station is complete, approximately 550 people will work there.

Across the Georgian segment of rail line, from Marabda to Kartsakhi, it is expected that more than 4000 people will be employed.
