Georgia’s Business Ombudsman Giorgi Pertaia has advised against frequent amendments made to the tax code, suggesting instead that amendments be made only once or twice a year.
He explained that there is a sense of instability among taxpayers, who complain that it is too difficult to follow changes and adjusting to a new amendment takes time and effort.
Since the introduction of the tax code seven years ago, more than 300 amendments have been introduced to it.
