Prospects of cooperating with northern Caucasus poor

Parliament is currently considering a proposal, the “State strategy for relations with North Caucasus people”, in which possible business opportunities with businesses in that region are discussed.

The Deputy Chair of the Economic Council of Dagestan has responded skeptically to the Georgian suggestion. North Ossetian analyst Igor Dulaev also suggested that there are no condition for business relations to begin with Georgia.

The lack of enthusiasm may be a result of pressure from Moscow, which hinders cooperation with Georgia.
