Georgian negative trade balance increases

In the first three months of 2012, Georgia’s trade negative balance reached more than $1 billion USD. This figure is much higher than the same period last year.

Georgian exports are not growing fast enough to balance out this figure. Currently, the country's major export is scrap metal and used automobiles, neither of which is originally produced in Georgia.
