As some analysts have suggested, current steps have been taken by Georgia and Armenia with regard to establishing deeper trade relations– in particular a customs agreement aimed at increasing trade turnover between Turkey and Armenia via Georgia. Armenian products will be re-exported via Georgia, and Turkey is interested in its export to Armenia via Georgia. Analysts state that currently, trade turnover between Armenia and Turkey has reached approximately $150 million. Armenian analysts suggest that with the further unification of the customs procedures between Georgia and Armenia, Turkey will become better integrated and eventually all three sides will benefit.
