Some villages’ adjustment to the conflict zone in the Tskhinvali region are in a disastrous situation. Their water supply has been cut and their harvest is dying. They receive water from the separatist-controlled territories and therefore the water is cut in that territory. But on the other hand, the separatists ask the Georgian side to provide territory with natural gas which comes from Georgian territory. The Georgian side is ready to provide the local population with natural gas on the separatist controlled territory. However, they have one condition– the gas should not get to the Russian military base located there. Furthermore, the Georgian side is ready to provide the population with gas free of charge. But the Tskhinvali administration demands gas from the military base as well. However, while the policy is underway, the population suffers.
