The Kulevi oil terminal is one of the most modern facilities of its type in the entire Black Sea basin. Altogether around 500 people work there. The majority of which are Georgian citizens. The terminal is owned by SOCAR. It receives Azeri oil and fills tankers, sending their products out worldwide. The majority of the tankers are loaded there and then transport the oil to different destinations. As Rezoannsi reports, the terminal at the moment is working to only 40% of its capacity and the company’s management wants to increase this turnover as much as possible.
