Cameraman was hit
On the evening of August 5, a cameraman from the Info 9 Agency, David Chavleishvili, was hit in the face in front of the Lanchkhuti Municipality building, the Guria News reports. According to the local paper, the incident happened when public servants and local officials gathered at the building.
The newspaper reports that the Info 9 cameraman was hit in the face by a municipality employee that has not been identified yet. As result of the punch, the cameraman received a hit from the camera in the face and was taken to the hospital.
Chavleishvili says that he does not know the man who hit him and it is also unclear for him why the man was so aggressive towards him. According to Chavleishvili, the young public servant hit him suddenly because he was irritated with the fact that Info 9 crew arrived on the spot.
Doctors say that the patient’s health condition is satisfactory and he will be signed out of the hospital soon.
Ferris wheel on the top of technical university
A few days ago photos were taken of the Ferris wheel located on the 35th floor of Batumi Technical University, Kvela Siakhle writes. The construction of the university building has not finished yet and the date of its official opening is not known either.
The author of the idea of constructing a Ferris wheel on top of the university is President Mikheil Saakashvili. The first statement the president made about it was in May 2012 while meeting with Batumi students in Adjara, although some people thought it was a joke.
