Analysts in Georgia are sure that after the parliamentary elections next month the price of bread will increase in Georgia. New data suggests that demand for cereals in Georgia now exceeds domestic production. Since 2003 the amount of cereal-producing land under cultivation has decreased by over half. In 2003 there were 117, 000 hectares growing wheat. In 2011 there were only 40,000 hectares planted with wheat.
