Azerbaijan invests in Russia

For the last ten years, Azerbaijan has been intensively investing in the Russian economy. In the same period, Russian companies have also been quite actively functioning in Azerbaijan. There are 261 companies registered in Azerbaijan with Russian capital. For the last ten years, Azerbaijan invested $563 million in Russia, whereas the latter invested $366 million in Azerbaijan. Azeri Economy Development Minister, Shahin Mustafaev, mentioned that there is a perfect legal base for cooperation in the economic field between the two countries. The trade turnover between the countries is constantly increasing and in 2011 reached almost $3 billion dollars.
