Afghanistan wants to get access to the Black Sea. The Deputy FM of Afghanistan during his recent visit to the USA stressed his country’s interest in establishing a route that would enable his country to use the South Caucasian corridor to get access to the Black Sea, so that it could transfer its goods and receive cargo via Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to the Black Sea. Georgian analysts are reserved towards this option, as it contains a certain threat, and the route would facilitate the proliferation of drugs from Afghanistan to world markets. However this could be controlled by the help of international organizations.
